Serial Adventure: Walking in the Mall of America

"The Serial/Cereal/Surreal Adventure is an exploratory photo-essay documenting the many wonders of the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. I began working on the adventure many years ago, when I first encountered the mall, although then it was more of a fantasy or dream than anything else. As my interest in hyperreal environments became more acute, "the malls project" began to take form. It was then that I decided I would document the mall with pictures and words, and try my best to simulate my experience of simulacra as encountered in the mall."
